I would like to build a cabinet or bookcase that opens to a secret storage area to hide hunting supplies. Can anyone tell me where I can find plans? I have a 3' space between the walls.

I am an Interior Designer, and how I do it, is for the room that's the "hidden" side, put shelf's up as if its a built-in, painted to match all the woodwork and usually have more built-ins in the room to even out the weight, (and hide the handle behind a book.) The other side is left alone.

We have had a secret room in both of our last two houses. In one house my shoe shelf moved out to a secret room. It was great. Now my bar moves out to hold all of our guns, etc. Make the wall the same with a hinge. It works great and nobody knows that it is hinged if you do it from the inside. Three feet is perfect to do something like that.
