I am planning for Thanksgiving dinner, last year i went shopping way too late and could only find hens haha. I'm trying to be more on top of it this year...with out buying a turkey thats too small. Thanks

A small one is plenty for 7 people. I wouldn't buy any bigger than a 12 pound bird. The bigger they are, the tougher the meat, the drier the meat, and the longer they take to cook.

U probably need a turkey between 12-14 lbs than that way no one will go hungry and u will have left overs too...

1/2 a pound per person gives you plenty and leftovers. Don'y forget, you have lots of sides with Thanksgiving so you don't need a ton of turkey.

I would go twenty lbs or better

1/2 lb per person at the least
