if your body lacks any essential nutrients required for growth it is seemingly obvious you will not grow and in turn be very unhealthy. Could even kill you, dieting is not the asnwer and healthy eating plan including all the food groups, or even a vegetarian style diet with adequate calories is a much better approach than sipping lemonade to loose weight c'mon.

Any juice fast should be combined with multi vitamins. And you should not be doing a juice fast if you're under 18. Definately not if you're in puberty. You should also only use it to kickstart a real diet. And even then it's still unhealthy, however in short doses coupled with a serious attempt at weight loss you should be OK.

anorexia can permanently effect your endocrine system and cause a lifetime of illness. severely restricting the calories during the growth years is the single worst thing a young woman can do for her body besides smoking, drinking and using drugs both prescription and illegal.
