Hi,
i've been having diarrhoea quite often recently. It seemed to happen in around May (which is quite long ago) after i had a very bad bout of stomach flu (however, i'm not sure if that could have caused it). Usually it starts off with the normal faeces, and then after the first half comes out, the next half is more "watery". This seems to happen more often than it should (at least in my opinion. Sometimes i get it two or three times a week. Is that too much?). It does not hurt at all.

And when i don't have diarrhoea (i.e. it's normal) and i clean myself with tissue, i notice tiny blood stains on the tissue. I THINK they're usually bright red. And they're usually just two tiny spots that appear to be about 2 to 3cm away from the anus.

I thought it might be IBS, or just me over-worrying. Can anyone give me some advice and perhaps any other possible conditions which might be causing this?

P.S. i'm a 19-year-old male. I've been to my doctor before, but it didn't seem to help much. I've also tried charcoal pills, which also didn't help (that was two weeks ago. As of now, i don't seem to be getting the diarrhoea). But my stomach seems extra sensitive to certain foods, especially carbonara.

P.P.S. There are no abdominal pains, apart from a sensation that is somewhat similar to the feeling you get in your stomach when you're hungry (and it makes noise). Sort of similar to that.

IBS can occur after a stomach or gastrointestinal infection, and is referred to as post-infectious IBS. Is there any abdominal pain associated with your altered bowel habits?
The blood on the tissue is most likely the result of an anal fissure, which is basically a tear in the skin tissue of the anus. However, it is something that should be investigated just to ensure that no organic disease is present.

IBS is a disease invented for the neurotic, there is no test that can be carried out to diagnose it- none!
IBD inflammatory bowel disease< Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis> is diagnosable and can include blood, mucus, loose stools. however blood 2cm away from your anus is likely to be bleeding piles but that does not explain the loose stools. my advice kiddo>>>>> go see your Dr!!!!!!!!!!!

loose stools have a lot of bile in them, so the bile irritates your hemmorhoids and they bleed a bit. Frequent loose stools like the ones you describe are often indicative of irritable bowel syndrome. Discuss treatment for same with your doctor.

You need to get this checked out. Something is off-kilter with your gut. Try eating yogurt with live cultures every day for a couple of weeks and see if that helps.
