I am a schizophrenic paranoid, diagnosed over 40 years ago. I have been able to live a fairly normal life due to continuous TLC and taking medications. That Tender Loving Care has been instrumental in my recovery and the fact that I no longer seem to Hallucinate. NOT ONLY ARE SATISFYING INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS POSSIBLE THEY ARE VITAL to the patients recovery. I have been able to live alone or with family all these years and have made many friends with medical staff and others. MY FAMILY HAS BEEN WONDERFULLY LOVING.

THE SAD THING IS THAT AT THE BEGINNING OF A SCHIZOPHRENIC EPISODE `THE EXPERIENCES ARE VERY TRAUMATIC AND JUST WHEN A PERSON NEEDS INTERPERSONAL CONTACT THEY ARE USUALLY SHUNTED INTO A HOSPITAL AND IGNORED. Early treatment with TLC is vital to a patients eventual recovery. This is because the diseases are misunderstood and the amount of misinformation about the disorders is abysmal.

Good luck if you are or know a schizophrenic, good mental health, peace and Love!
