My son was at Camp Pendleton on a water ops. He was moved in the middle of the night to another location. The Marine Corps take very good care of their Marines and Recruits so No worries. Go to www.mcrdsd.usmc.mil there is a message to recruits parents and family.
Semper Fi
p.s. Recruits do go to Camp Pendleton during phase ll. If you go to http://www.mcrdsd.usmc.mil/
after the message to parents half way down, click on Recruit Training the next page is Recruit Training Links, click onto the training matrix and it will show you what your son will be doing every day of his training.
God Bless you and your son!!!! untill they ALL come home.

He wouldn't be in Camp Pendelton. He would be in Marine Recruit Depot in San Diego. He will be given a chance to call soon and also send out letters letting love ones his address during recruit training. Just be patient. Just to let you know that the Recruit Depot is near the San Diego airport so he was far away from the fires.

He would still be in San Diego and not at Pendleton yet. Especially since the fires are at pendleton and not the recruit depot. Wait till he contacts you. He is alright I guarantee it!

As others have stated he is at the Depot. If you fly into San Diego you can watch the guys doing PT while the aircraft is pulling up to the Terminal. The Depot is next to the Airport on the coast. The fires are not.
His DI will make him write you, even if he does not want to.
He will eat anything put before him when he returns, even Brussels sprouts.
He make look a little taller.
He may put on some weight.
He will have little use for shampoo.
He may say strange things like "Yes ma'am".
You will both survive.

I don't think his in Camp Pendleton yet. I think he's in the "Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego" if he just signed up as a new recruit... but here the address...
His Name,
Recruiters School BRC (Class # Group#__)
3500 Chosin Ave
San Diego, CA 92140
I hope he's okay...and I hope this helps...
Or go to this website...

If he's a recruit, he's not at Camp Pendleton, that's where he will go for Advanced Infantry Training.
He's probably at MCRD in San Diego.

just hold off a little. He'll soon send you his address. It's very unlikely the fire had any effects on him or his training.
We have friends who live right near Camp Pendleton. They told us there was no fire in the area. Rest assured, he's safe.

you will either get a phone call or a letter giving you his address. Since part of the address is his specific recruit group, you will have to wait until you get that, it won't be delivered to him in a timely manner, if at all, without all the information.

He will write you, when they first arrive they are so exhausted, up early, bed late so on so forth. He will write, just be patient. You have to have all the right numbers and his rank in the right spot, or he will never get it... Good Luck to him, and Thank you!!!
