I woke up at four in the morning because he punched me really hard in the middle of my back. He kept his fist out and in my back until I said, "Stop! You're hurting me!" I started crying because it hurt so bad! He feels awful about it and has been apologizing all day. Is there any way to help him sleep soundly without flailing around?

Unfortunately, no. Some people are just more active in their sleep than others. Although, we do tend to be more active when we are overtired, or overstressed. This is one of those situations where there just isn't any fault. He certainly doesn't do it because he has something against you, and he isn't in control when it happens. You will probably just have to invest in a larger bed, or a body length pillow to separate the two of you. Not that it will prevent the flailing, but at least it will put some distance or a padded barrier between you and his flying parts. And if he's having a particularly restless night of it, it might just be easier all around if you slept on the couch. It doesn't mean anything sinister, or that you love one another less- just sensible solution to a problem you can't otherwise solve.

Make sure that he doesnt eat anything late at night, preferably after 9pm... No action movies, no creepy movies and make sure that he isnt angry about something or in a current argument with you or a friend about something, or maybe his close family.

And by the way, as a reply to, your reply, to my question. Im not on my second child. I didnt make anything up. I got raped by my dad when I was 12... It resulted in a baby. I am 15 now.. and I have a baby boy who is just turning three, in two months...

Make sure he doesn't watch kon fu movies before he goes to bed. Put the TV in PG mode only.

Make sure he doesn't eat before he sleeps... if you wanna be mean, if he doesn't go into REM sleep, he shouldn't dream.

No dreams = No kung fu action

If you secretly keep him from falling into deep sleep, you should be good.

just tell him to take "anxiety pills" If he keeps doing it , then you should start to worry and go take him to a psychiatrist.
