I don't think that'll make your hand whiter, it will just make it wrinkly, red and loosen your fingernails...It will make your fingernails bend really easily, like sometimes happens when dish washing.
If you want to make your hand whiter I'd recommend soaking it in bleach for two hours. Joking that was a joke! Bleach is very very very bad for your skin! Get some whitening ointment at the drugstore.

It will get redder and will end up looking like a prune.
