Spot reduction is a myth. You can not flatten or lose weight in specific areas

When you lose weight, you lose it all around.

Spot reduction / rebuilding is not a myth. Now pilates might be not the optimal exercise for spot reduction. If you are looking to flatten your stomach and loose inner thighs - i would really recommend good ole running or cycling, climbing machine is good for that too.

Pilates will strengthen your core, but you'd still need to eat right in order to lose the weight around your midsection (as well as your thighs)
