Many of the Spanish, Mexican people are really religious and the name of Jesus has been used in true Love and Respect for what they have been taught. The Mexican People , are truly , devoted to Jesus the Son of God and the Virgin Mary. It is out of true Respect that they name their baby boys, Jesus. No Jesus the Son of God did not have a Mexican Culture. He was born of Middle East Parents, mainly Jewish. The Mexican Culture uses the name Jesus.

You are so funny. I had to explain to my mother that the spanish language is from Spain in Europe. She thought it was a Mexican language. And she is Christian and I had to explian how the Spanish brought the language over to American 400 years ago, just like England did for US and French for the Canadians. LOL. I still think it is funny.

There were no Mexicans there at that time, just Indians. So that means that Hispanics name children after Jesus.
It really was a good joke.

His name was Yeushua... a very Hebrew name. Jesus was the Latin translation of the name, and Spanish is a derivative of Latin.
The Greek was similar to the Latin translation. The English translates into the name Joshua.

Jesus' name was actually the Hebrew Yeshua. 'Jesus' is the English form of the Latin 'Iesus.' The name is simply popular in Mexico, just as 'Maria' and other Biblical names are.
