The reason I ask is because I really never knew what they were before. I asked my boyfriend if he ever gets "white things" from his throat, if they ever come into his mouth. (like coughing them up) he said no. it's a little weird onlyl because he said he didn't get them, and now, he gets them. Any ideas?

No. I was told by my doctor that it is food or something that gets caught and then your white blood cells attack it andyour body does what it needs to get rid of what ever it was. I have had them for 20 years and my husband of 10 has never got them!
