Your dog is without a doubt a Black Mouth Cur. Noble mixed breed! Great dogs. Derived from Labs, Shepherds, and mastiffs. Check the pics:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mouth_Cur

I say your dog is Pit, Shepherd and Lab--Pits are a mixed breed themselves and come from Cur stock. You may not know it, or got one accidently--but I'm telling you your dog is absolutely an American Black-Mouth Cur.

My girlfriend has a beautiful Leopard Cur and her boyfriend has 3 Black-Mouth's. They are hog-hunters here in Florida--not my gig at all, just a hobby of theirs. These are less aggressive and better hunters than Pits.

Very recognizable to us southerners and to any who know hunting dogs.

From the description of weight and size, and the pictures you have included, it sure looks like it is a Rodesian Ridgeback cross.

Here is a link to a number of photos of the Rodesian Ridgeback. I see a lot of similarities with your dog.

He looks like a boxer pit bull mix, but what I am concerned about is not his breed, but the looks of his living conditions! Is he locked up in a barn or what? This does NOT look good to me. I sure hope he is well taken care of.

Don't know the whole mix but it looks like there's some Rhodesian Ridgeback? His face really looks like one.

He's cute!
