I always have something my family calls "Go Juice"...mix 1/2 glass orange juice, and 1/2 glass sprite(or similar)....I always drink it...vitamin C always helps fight colds, and sprite always settles my cold.....also you can add Gatorade if you want....trust me it'll be good...and stick to the good old soup thing, it works great....=)

Chicken soup is good for you, it open up the nose and has vitamins that are good for you. It is important to drink a lot of liquid ( not just pop ), teas are good, fruit juices are good. Orange juice has a lot of vitamin - C in it. It is something I learned from my Grandmother and people don't do it much anymore..... put vick's vapo rub on your chest, put a towel on it, buncle up under the covers.....you feel so cleared and a lot better in the morning. If you are having a lot of headaches or head will not clear...do it to your forehead. I would not have believed it except I have done it myself.

well a nice complete meal of soup, hot tea, medicine and fruit with lots of vitamin c. although getting over a cold pertains to more factors than just what you eat and drink. you need to be concerned about where your at and wat ur doing at the time. get some fresh air in your room once in a while. and move around a little, and dont lay around or ull feel pretty sickly. moderation goes a long way

When I have a cold, I drink a lot of apple juice. It's rich in Vitamin C and it's not acidic like orange juice.

Try echnacea. It's a vitamin and it really helps fight colds. I love it! You should be able to find it in any drugstore.
