Encourage it.
It is still good to study the beliefs of others, even if you do not share the same beliefs. It promotes harmony and understanding.

There is nothing wrong with an atheist joining a Christian club--IF he joins out of a genuine desire to learn and understand the beliefs of the club's members. If he is just joining to be rude and mock their beliefs, then that would be wrong. It doesn't sound like that's the case, though.

No.
Its a free country and as long as he dosent make fun off or insult you for your faith alone (in most casses) he has a right to be there.
Arnt you supposed to want him there so you can try and convert him?
That sounds Assinine but it is legitiment.
and Hopflower. Beliving in Jesus dosent make you a different person. It does not give you qualities that you cant get elsewhere. And I am non christian with many Christians who have a lot in common with me.
Im not going to call you an Idiot. However I will say I hope you where just having a moment.

Well it seems to me in order for your friend to do this, he has to have at least some belief in God or fascination of HIS existence...which means he is not being truthful to you about his beliefs....unless he's doing it for kicks!! If that is the case, then he is going just to make a mockery of God and the christian club. Otherwise, I think it could be a good thing for him to go!!

Well, I doubt there is a restriction, but good luck to him.
Personally I think he's crazy for wanting to... either he interested in joining the religion, curious about the believes of others without wanting to join the religion, wants to be hated, or not minding his own business like he should.

Did you ask him why he wanted to join? Maybe he's questioning himself and is open to learning more about Christianity. Nothing wrong with that.
Now, if he's joining so he can rant to other members about how God is dead and how stupid they are for believing in God, then that's not good.

As Christians can go to Pagan Ceremonies-I don't see why the reverse should not hold true.
Your Atheist friend is curious and wants to see what Christianity is all about. Why do you think this is your business?

I don't know about "wrong," in the moral sense, but it doesn't seem particularly logical. However, I suppose the Christians will assume they can convert him, so they'll probably let him join anyway.

So? Maybe they'll learn from each other.
I knew a poor girl who did that for the free weekly pizza. Still an atheist today and they knew it then and why she was there. But things were different before the 700 Club. Sigh.
And to everyone suggesting the hot chicks, YES is the answer. It's always about sex with us guys.
Tell him drama club and community theater are always good spots, too. You get to learn about the arts and are outnumbered by women. Mmmm.

Why not? He's joining for the same reasons the other people are joining.
