did that negate the Old Testament entirely, or just the really bad parts?

It was Mount Olympus, sheesh...

Many Christians believe he changed all the harsh OT laws, but Jesus said he didn't come to change one iota of the old law. They still can't account for the tyrannical and genocidal maniac god of the Old Testament..

No, Jesus did not negate the Old Testament, He said so Himself "I have come not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it" ... He added Love into the law, which made it perfect :)

I guess Jesus would have been OK on top of Mt. Everest, but all the people he was preaching to would have died without oxygen tanks.
