I am pierced and have tattoos, all my own designs, I am neither a druggie or dirty or trailer trash or a scumbag. No. I associate tattoos and piercings to two kinds of people, those on the fringes of acceptable common and dull lifestyles and wannabes looking for attention because they are dull and afraid to live there own lives with pride. Yeah 420 does not make you a druggie.

No, I don't.

My lovely daughter has a piercing (other than ear lobes) and a couple of tattoos. She is one of the best, finest people I know, with a Masters Degree and a much better job than I had at her age.

Moreover, both of her brothers have tattoos. It's just body art, and should not be associated with drugs or dirt.

I work with a female lawyer (young) who has a small tattoo on her shoulder. It's cute.

absolutely NOT!!! here, think of this: there is a man by the name of Bruce Potts, that has a FULL TRIBAL FACE TATTOO. his carrer?? a teacher of Public Speaking at the University of New Mexico tattoos and piercings do not define a person. tattos are a work of art. people with tatts and piercings choose to use their bodies as a canvas, and there is nothing wrong with that! heres a link to see mr potts..

Not at all but a lot of people do. I know that many businesses will not hire someone with tattoos and piercings, just because of the stigma. Firefighters often have trouble finding employment if they have tattoos. Personally I think it all depends on where and what the tattoos are. If you have a tattoo that says for example crypt for life who wouldn't categorize you, but if you have a turtle on your shoulder I would just think you had a thing for turtles. I guess it just depends on what the tattoos express and how many and where.

Not at all. I have 25 piercings and.. 15ish tattoos and I don't do drugs, and I shower every day. If the people who have them are dirty then how would they get the tattoos or piercings to heal?

When I see tats or piercings I figure I'm looking at a idiot.
A chick with a tattoo looks like a scumbag. Not that I mind.
Saves time. I already know all I need to know

Only if they have blatant stuff that can't be covered when need be, depending on their vocation. I'm an artist so pretty much anything goes with people in my field.
In the "old days" Tats were consider biker/heroin user stuff.
I pretty much still think a tattoo on the lower back for a girl that goes down to the butt to be a "tramp Stamp" though.
