My kids just moved to this new School and they have to dress 'appropriately' for the Halloween Dance. I myself am not Catholic but my Husband and Children are. I think they have to dress as a Catholic Figure or Famous Catholic eg. Mother Theresa, A Nun etc. -Nothing evil looking -no blood or goulish masks.
I'm not surprised at all the nasty comments and judgemental answers btw -I've come to accept there are a lot of ignorant, uneducated morons on this site.

To Kaldea: My kids are a little uptight. A few years ago I bought a devil costume for my eldest to go trick and treating and he threw a fit and said he wanted to go 'as Jesus' -I'm truly not kidding -I had to go out and get him a Sheppard staff and a big beard and robe or he wouldn't go!! lol

St. Francis is a well known Catholic figure, with a distinctive appearance, as is Joan of Arc, John the Baptist, the Blessed Virgin Mary (blue and white garments) Lazarus (seen emerging from his tomb, wrapped like a mummy).
The there's St. Joseph (with carpenter's hammer) King David (complete with sling and head of Goliath) various angels, St. Peter (with large key ring).
You should be able to make something of these.

So, do you want them to dress in religious school clothes, street clothes or as nuns and priests? If they are Catholics, why not go with something they are not? Or something from history? Halloween is suppose to be fun. Dressing them as what they already are is mundane!

Your kids attend a Catholic school, and you're asking how to dress them up as Catholics.
Why does this sound completely made up to insult another group.

I dressed as a Catholic school girl a few years ago, but that might be too sexy for kids...

You could dress your boys up, one to look like the Pope the other boys as Cardinals or Bishops.
The girls could be Nuns.

Last I checked Catholics look like everyone else....unless you mean someone who has taken holy orders, in which case they could address up as nuns, monks, priests or bishops.

I don't know about your kids, but I think you should dress up in a sexy nun outfit, preferably one of black latex.

Halloween is not for what YOU want them to dress up as. I'm sure they don't want to dress up as Catholics

There are any number of saints from which they can pick.
After all, this is the first eve of All Hallows Day.

You show a lack of maturity. You think this is o.k. to teach your children, or are you just this rude behind a computer?
