I would much rather a guy tell me I'm cute than hot. In my opinion if I guy says you're hot or sexy then he is only thinking about you physically, but if he calls you cute or pretty or beautiful then he probably really likes you. On the other hand when some guys call you cute it means your not his type, it really depends the type of guy your dealing with.

I thought cute was a word kids in middle school use, and hot is something people in high school use to call each other. I'm not in high school yet, but I've watched enough movies and read enough books to tell what it means when a guy calls a girl cute or hot.
I think when guys call girls hot, it's a little rude because it means all they ever think about is sex, but when they say girls are cute, it sort of means they give a little respect for girls.

Yes, there is a difference but lets see if I can explain.
Hot is attractive and something magazine models are.
Cute is more homely and approachable.
What is better? Cute is. Hotness fades, cute doesn't as cute can also incorporate personality.
I know some girls dislike being called cute but honestly, most guys, though they go "gaga" over hot girls would rather be with someone who is cute.

Ok cute sounds nicer. It's like if they are more sensitve and u usually say it when u like someone. Hot the other hand is more like seeing a girl as an object wait no that sounds to gay! Hot is mostly based on just looks u no

Cute is like pretty and petite but yet kind of conservative. Hot is like stiletto heels, skin tite black leather pants, a mid drift top, a super body and beautiful face.

i think maybe if a guy tells u u r hot he prob is meaning basically he wants u badly and cute probably is mostly about that he might not really like u like that but just wants 2 b friends!!!!

In my opinion, if he tells you that your hot he just wants to hook up with you. Cute doesn't only mean looks, it could mean personality too.
