I just want to stay there because I need the combat pay. I don't have family so there is nothing to come home to.

Just get a job cooking and cleaning in Iraq as you want spouses to do.. ok so ill stop being mean for second...
You can request all day long where you want to be stationed ie your top 3 choices but you will go based upon the needs of the Army, I have never heard of anyone going from Basic Training without being MOS Qualified being Deployed.. least not this war.

I sometimes wonder what your real intentions are, it would be great if you were serious, however I think you take this as a joke... I have seeen alot of questions you have posted I have responded to a few.. I just think you have some issues.

No You cannot request that you stay until we pull out of the country. You will leave when your command leaves and not after that. As for the first question I think you can volunteer for duty in Iraq but not specifically be granted a request to go. However the rules could have changed since I was in.

No, you can't request to go straight to Iraq out of basic. First you are going to go to your job specialty school. Then you will get assigned a unit that need bodies. It is not always a guaranteed that the unit will deploy to Iraq right away. Most units do work ups to train their personnel to deploy to Iraq. Time line wise after boot camp it's going to be at least a year before you are going to deploy anywhere.

You have to have an MOS first, so your next stop after Basic(unless a Parachute Rigger, they go to Bennings BAC then AIT) would be AIT for your chosen Job Skill.

After that you would probably need additional training before Shipping out to Kuwait. In Kuwait you'll recieve about a Months worth of Confirm Zero, Glass Houses, Shoot Houses, and Crew served ranges with Sims/Livefire(run by a PMC-MPRI) before you'll cross the Berm at Navistar(or fly into BIAP)

You will finish basic, then get train in your job, then you get stationed at your first base. You can there put in for Iraq duty, and if they say yes, you will get send to do your desert combat preperation training, then you will go. You can't go straight out of basic, because you will not be prepared yet nor will you be settled into active duty after basic.

No you have to attend your MOS schooling first. You can request, but its not up to you. Its up to the unit you are going to be working with and what their plans are for you and the people you are working with. My husband went to Iraq as soon as he got to Pendleton right after school. Its wasn't his choice though he just did what he had to do.

After basic training you need to go to AIT, which is your MOS training. When you're done with that then sure, you can request to go. If you're unit is not going anytime soon, I'm sure they'll find a slot for you with another unit.

You can request as you will, but getting that request honored will all depend on the needs of the Military. If your job does not require you to be there, you won't be.

Just like others have said, first you have to go to your school. After that, you will be assigned to a certain unit. When your unit goes to Iraq, you will go.

Nope. You must be schooled first (AIT) and then assigned to a unit before you go to Iraq.
