is your BMR only 1200 cals daily? your body weight would have to be close to 110 lbs for your BMR to be only 1200 cals.

why go from eating 4-5 meals to only 2? this will decrease energy levels, increase blood lipid levels, slow down your metabolic rate and not allow for maximum utilization of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. one of the main reasons why smaller meals over the course of the day is optimum is because the body has no storage capacity for most nutrients. the body will use what it needs for "now" and excrete the rest. if you only eat 2x a day the body only has 2x a day to get in all the nutrients that it needs, and that's not going to happen. over time this may lead to a decreased health status

Probably not. It would be helpful to know your height and weight so that you can figure out how many calories you need in a day. If you are petite and inactive, you may only require 1200 to 1500 calories a day. On the other hand, if you are tall and active you need at least 2000 calories to maintain your weight. If you are looking to lose weight, taking the 2 600 calorie meals and splitting them into 2 may be a healthier option to keep your energy levels up throughout your day.
