So if a person is saved, then later in life goes out and rapes and kills a whole bunch of people. Is that person still going to heaven? I want to get other peoples opinion on this because I don't believe it.

uhh no that would be called a backslider. but if that person repents and comes back unto God and means it, he is then born again. God will always forgive you and accept you back into his kingdom. he never said it would be easy though. think of the two thieves on either side of him when he was on the cross.

I'm not sure, it's a tough question. But then again, God knows what we are going to do in our lives, therefore he also knew if we were going to heaven or hell -- prior to even creating the universe. So my opinion is that if someone was saved, went out and killed a lot of people and raped them, and asked for forgiveness, God would probably be loving enough to forgive them and -- given they don't sin again -- allow them into heaven. Only thing is, what kind of "loving" God would know about someone killing and raping a whole bunch of innocent people -- who would then eventually repent, therefore ultimately go to heaven -- prior to creating the universe and then still create it in such a way that it would happen in that fashion? Whoops, I'm supposed to be answering your question, not asking more, haha, sorry. Anyways, I really do hope this helps in at least some way...

Jesus told his disciples to remain in his love because just as we enter freely into a relationship with Christ, we are free to leave him. Scripture is overflowing with examples of this. In Romans 11:22, Paul says, "Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off." In Galatians 5:4, Paul says, "You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace." This verse implies that they were united with Christ and in grace before they fell. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul again warns the Christians against being overconfident: "I pummel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." This is not the language of "once saved always saved."

Teaching of "once saved always saved.", for me is a trick or deceiving to get more members. It is easy convert with doing no effort just saying I believe and faith alone. Ask yourself why do you need to go to church if you are saved. If you answer to give good reasons go to church then you are contradicting yourself. Why keep deceiving yourselves just say, it is misinterpretation say you are wrong. I know you are afraid of the cross or to be wrong or to do any work with grace that God has given you.

First that phrase, "once saved, always saved" is not found in any Bible.

Most Bible believing Christian don't believe that line of thinking.

There are bunch of well meaning but misguided Christians who believe that, and they are known as Calvinists.

Of course a Calvinist will rationalize that the person you just described was never really a Christian in the first place.

If the person you described really did get saved and he did all those terrible things, one must also ask, what did he do AFTERWARDS?

Did he continue to be a nasty person his whole life?

Or did he come back to God?

It depends on whether or not the person was truly saved and mature in faith to start with. Many think they are saved and have given their lives to God when they have not done so at all. The thing is that when we are saved, we need to take the steps to a build a relationship with Jesus, and from that grow to spiritual maturity over time. If we do not do that, then we backslide, and we will be vulnerable to the devil's temptations.
The bible says that a murderer has no eternal life in him. He would have to accept Christ as His Savior and receive the new nature in order to be saved; having turned away from sin.
Most likely he was never really saved to start with as opposed to drifting that far away from the Lord.

No

If one lives a greviously sinful life after having a "being saved experience',one knows better than the evildoers who have not had such a knowledge and so one is more guilty and responsible tan the latter would be.

That would be not only sinful delusion but also the sin of presumption and scandal.

There is no once saved always saved. Salvation must be worked on daily. Salvation is not just a one time saying I believe in Jesus and then you get a free ticket to commit sin. For one to stay on the right path for their salvation takes alot of hard work. Seeking forgiveness when one sins repenting from sin. Granted God will NEVER take the gift of salvation from us, but by our sins we can reject it. We will be judged by our works

No but one must understand the original teachings of Jesus on Karma, Reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally to understand the unlimited mercy and love of God. They thing is the bible was changed by king Constantine in 324 AD with his click of scribes to control the citizens. The original new testament was taken into hiding with the Essens who where being killed by The Roman Government because of following Jesus. If someone doesn't follow the teachings of Jesus or the Universal Truth they will again take another material birth and get the karmic reactions for their actions. Otherwise why would Jesus tell us to "go and sin no more." But at the same time, eternal hell makes no sense. There is a hell, but no one goes there eternally. Otherwise God is merciless. He is not so merciless. The Christians and others have made Him out to be this. He is so fare and just and it all makes sense. Google gospelofthenazirenes.com Following the original teachings of Jesus will set one free. Makes all sense. Did you every wonder why so many denominations from one book. That is becaue the book was changed.

No. There is no guarantee that after you are saved and you commit a sin, you are saved. That's why there is excommunication. You sinned, you knew the truth, you knew the way, why did you sin? Why did you betray God? There's no need for confession, God knows what you did; So that's what excommunication is for, so you can realize your mistake, humble yourself to the lowest, and pray to God for forgiveness. After and if, the church gives you your communion, your in God's mercy. Only He will have mercy on you, and when you die, you will know whether you went to heaven or hell.

Yes ... but no one is ever officially saved until after they die, and they are judged worthy of heaven by Jesus.

Once saved always saved teaching is a heresy. It does not follow Holy Scripture or Holy Tradition. Peace be with you.
