Try a neti pot. OK this is gross at first. It's a pot that looks like Aladdin's lamp, you'll find it at health stores. You fill it with warm water or even warm saline......then hold your head down, tip it to the side and pour the water into your nose and it will flow out the other nostril. I told you it was gross! In it's passage it cleans out the sinus'. It doesn't hurt, tickles a bit. (yes, there are instructions) The saline solution would shrink the membranes a bit, wash off pollen on the membranes and soothe.

Fraid not. I have that most of the time too. At night, I take Benelyn Original just to get some sleep and relief from the cough. It drives me nuts as it tickles the moment I relax and lie down. The sniffing drives everyone else crazy except me. The worst thing is that I smoke too so I only have myself to blame for the worst parts of it. Even when I stopped smoking I still coughed. A change in diet sometimes helps. I reduced dairy intake and don't eat white bread etc. Apparently some foods help produce phlegm - so fresh fruit and veg are the best bets.

So are you doing the rest of the bit, windows closed, liners on bed and linen, no pet dander. ( Consider moving) I hate post nasal drip and after I got out of a drafty room, it was better. Leave if someone is vaccuming for a few hours. But if I were you I go to university and see a second opinion of docs, cause some of them have more up to date info. You need to not give up. I noticed when my kids moved out my symptoms got milder.

I bought a neti pot. You use it to irrigate your sinuses. I saw it on Oprah. It's a little weird at first but it helped me.
