It's not dangerous. If you are concerned, use toilet seat covers (and vigorous hand washing, of course, is always important).

I have never went to the bathroom ON the toilet in a public bathroom. You never know what kind of infectious diseases are on there, that's why many bathrooms are starting to have paper toilet covers so that you can sit on that while you urinate. I do think it's dangerous, and I try to hold it in as much as possible until I get home.

YEAH! I TRY TO AVOID IT BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE USE IT AND THEIR BUTT MAY HAVE DIRTY GERMS! AND WHO KNOWS, I DOUBT IF THEY ACTUALLY CLEAN THEM! OH YEAH, MY MOM SAID THAT THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO USE IT LIKE BEFORE YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME JACKED UP DISEASES SO YOU MIGHT GET THEM TOO IF THEY 'RE CONTAGIOUS! IN MCDONALD, OR RED LOBSTER OR NICE RESTURANTS THEN THEIR RESTROOMS ARE O.K.! BUT IT'S GOOD TO AVOID THEM OR USE THOSE PAPER TOILET COVERS!
