Their claim is that the founders of The Watchtower only used the Bible as their source for doctrine, etc...

While the whole time their Bible was only a few books chosen out of hundreds from the same era, by Catholics who wanted it all to seem to fit into a certain context?

Since the Bible is wholly unreliable as History and truth, any religion based on it must also be unreliable.

It seems very odd to criticize a Christian's familiarity with the bible, and even more odd to criticize a Christian for looking to the bible (rather than human opinion) as the authority for his faith.

(Acts 17:2-3) [Paul] reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving by references [from the bible]

Of course true Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) want to search for the truth; where is the best reference of truth?

(Psalm 119:159-160) I have loved your own orders. O Jehovah...your word is truth

(John 17:11,17) Holy Father, watch over them... Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.

(Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword

It is not adherence to some human group that defines "truth", but one's adherence to the inspired infallible Word of the Divine Author as found in the bible.

(1 Thessalonians 2:13) When you received God’s word, which you heard from us, you accepted it, not as the word of men, but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of God

Fun, I never heard a single witness say "their's is the "perfected" religion."

"Since the Bible is wholly unreliable as History and truth"

Wholly unreliable, wow that's a new one on me.

Jehovah's made up their own version of what some guy in 1950 thought about early translations. He was not even considered a Hebrew scholar. Yet He claimed that translations were wrong. Their bible also says that no scripture or prophesy came from man but by the Holy Spirit that carried them along. So the bible is written by the Holy Spirit and this make the JW's calling God a liar. For bible also says that it is a sound and perfect for teaching people the way they should go.

Jesus steps in before Armageddon, when all the armies are outside of Jerusalem and about to attack the Lord will come and the rapture will take place.

The other Armageddon guy needs to read the book of Revelation.

"Since the Bible is wholly unreliable as History and truth, any religion based on it must also be unreliable." -You

The Bible supports the HISTORICAL fact that Herod once ruled. It also suports the TRUTH that "A beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a fine gold ring in a pig's snout." - Proverbs

Therefore it is YOUR statement that is wholly unreliable for it contains two lies in one statement! -Me

Your information is WAY off. I'm no longer a practicing Witness, but untrue is untrue.

The JW bible has the same books in it that all the other Christian Bibles have in them.

And the Bible is NOT unreliable, historically or otherwise. In fact, it has proven over & over again to be historically & scientifically accurate and has proven science wrong many times.

Work on your facts a bit....

Well my friend every time I ask to the "Christians" what will Jesus Christ do after Armageddon with this planet during his 1000 years kingdom they say a lot of no- sense information and have several loops but JWs give me a clear explanation with any bible in the world, if they are false and you are right , then Why you can´t give me a clear and simple answer but they can do it?

Well first, please offer ANY example of us claiming to be the "perfected" religion.

Is there any religion you don't have fault with?? Clearly all beliefs start somewhere.

I'm sorry I truly don't remember myself or any of my brothers and sisters saying that. And yes it is your opinion.

Because just like Christians of many other denominations, they are insecure and insist that they alone are right - unable to accept that God is willing to reach out to people in different ways.
