I'm trying to keep my intake at 1710 calores, because the amount to eat if I want to be 125 lbs.

I'm only 4'11, and I'm 140, so I'm overweight - even my doctor told me to get to 125 lbs.

I base my diet on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and vegetarian protein sources.

I drink water like a fish. Even when I'm super busy, all I can think about is food.

It sounds like you probably need to get some healthy fats and a little bit of complete proteins in your diet. They will both provide satiety (fullness). Complete proteins include soy and animal proteins. Also, you can combine legumes (beans) with cereals (rice) in one meal to have a complete protein (all the amino acids your body needs to support daily functions and re-make the proteins your body needs in all areas). If you are not getting complete proteins your body could be craving that extra food just to survive.

I think it is not the amount you eat its what you eat.For a start veg has no subtance so its gonna run through your system to fast so.answer 2 good meals a day.Chicken or fish and a bowl of cereal at night and that should work.

you know , even when going on a diet, you have to eat calories and protien. you probably don't have enough fat in your system.also, you won't get skinnier by eating like a vegan. you will have more vegatables in your system ,but not enough meat. the last thing is: when you are first trying to diet, the hardest part is the week! but make sure to have a special treat once in a while, to know you are doing good!

That happens to me too (the thinking I mean)

Busy up your mind or ask yourself why you're thinking about food. I think the reason that you're thinking about food is the fact that you're worried about gainning weight and concentrating on it too much.

There's more to life then just looking pretty so don't stress yourself over something that will eventually mean nothing when you're old

Wait 30 minutes after you eat a balanced meal, to feel not hungry. Don't eat before bed, you'll get used to it.

well guess you have to decide if you want to live to eat, or eat to live, don't you? If the doctor has done all the testing to rule out hypo thyroidism, diabetes etc, then your problem is an emotional one with regards to food, and only you can take control of that.

Please try to skip cheese, eggs and red meat. Try to walk at least 20 minutes to half an hour a day. Surely you are going to lose at least 15 lbs within two months. Take care yourself!!
