The Church owns the school. It is owned and operated by the parish that it is affiliated with.

Our parish school is owned and operated by our parish with the support of our diocese.

Our local Catholic high school serves eight elementary schools in the area, and all eight parishes (that own the elementary school) contribute financially to that school, though it is technically owned by the diocese.

Religious orders sometimes own and operate schools. The Jesuits own some, as do Benedictines, etc.

Most Catholic colleges and universities are incorporated into separate entities and are not owned by churches or dioceses any more.

Yes.

In the United States, most Catholic elementary schools are owned by the local parish and high schools are owned either by the local diocese or a religious community (like the Salesians).

With love in Christ.

Yeah they are owned by the parish that is next to it and shares the same name. And the Parish is rules by the Dioceses which is like a county for Catholics but is like 8 times bigger.

Catholic schools are "owned" by the parishioners of the affiliated parish. A good chunk of their contributions go to the support of the school and the subsidy of the tuition of parishioners' children.

It depends. Some catholic individuals own schools, and Rome itself owns some schools.
