My suspicion is that there are currently more churches, but with all the mega-churches having Starbucks INSIDE them, eventually there will have to be more Starbucks.

3401 Starbucks outlets in the US vs. 34996 United Methodist churches. (I always thought of the UMC as the Starbucks/GAP/McDonald's of churches... they're everywhere!)

I have no faith in Starbuck's. They're way too expensive, and I dislike coffee.
There is only one Starbucks in my town, and it's less than 6 months old. However, there are at least a dozen Baptist Churches, 3-4 Methodist ones, 2-3 Presbyterian, one Episcopalian, several non-denominational, etc.

I'd say the churches are winning at the present time.

There's Starbuck's INSIDE of churches? Are you serious? I may have to start going to church again.
