No. They're way too young

Yes they can. My little sister had a crush on a kid I went to school with (who was 7 years older). But at that young of an age, they really don't take it as seriously. If you've ever watched little kids interact you'll realize they are a lot more open with their feelings than us. My friends little sister will come up to random boys AND guys and tell them she thinks they are hott. She even chased a little boy around and kissed him at a football game. Being a kid is easy and fun because you don't have any insecurities, which is what makes it difficult to find relationships. That is one of the reasons why they are called crushes, because you like someone but don't have the guts to tell them. Then, they'll either turn you down after they find out, or they won't ever know and start going out with someone else. In either situation, you end up feeling crushed. Little kids don't ever really worry about that, and I'm envious!

Ofc, a 5 years old girls have crush on guys. but if you are parent so you can talk with girls about not crush on boys until she will grow as teenage or 18 years old or enter in college that will better for her to be patient .

The first guy little girls have a "crush" on is their dad or a guy who becomes a father figure. He's like a super hero to them--he is big, able to fight off the boogey man, can change into a helicopter and fly her around, makes her feel safe, and does all the things a super hero does, but he's right by her at all times.

Absolutely. My daughter is five and a half, and she had her first crush last year in preschool. On the way home, some boy from her class was waiving, she waived back. I asked her jokingly, "Is he your boyfriend?" She answered seriously: "No, he is my husband". Then there was another crush last summer in camp, and now she has a boy she likes in her kindergarten class. The difference from us, grownups, is that they don't act on their crushes. They just enjoy being around each other. That's all they know. Of course, they've seen kissing on TV (or Mom and Dad), but at this age they think it's gross. Thank God! :))

Yes, they can. Even three year olds can have crushes on people of the opposite sex ... this is usually their parent. That is why little girls like Daddy best, and little boys like Mommy best ... they may not know WHY but they see themselves as 'grown and married' to their opposite gender parents ... it's TOTALLY NORMAL for people to develop 'crushes' and it's part of learning how to be a 'grown up' when the time comes.

if they are the same age yes. i had my first crush in 1st grade. but crushes are different then, not serious, just liking a male guy might make that a crush for a five year old.

Absolutely! The "crush" may not be the same as an adolescent or an adult but there are the same type of feelings of euphoria and constantly
thinking about or trying to emulate the "crushie". There is no "suxuality" involved but the crush is for real!

Yes, they can. I had my first crush when I was 5 years old (in kindergarden). I went home and told my mom, "He is sooo Handsome!!"

ps My crush was on another 5 year old in my kindergarden class. However, I know other girls had crushes on their gym teachers and things like that.

Sure, if you mean that they like spending time with a boy or they think that they're cute.

When I was 5, I had a crush on the 6th grader who mowed our lawn, Danny. =D

However, it's just a crush. It's not even puppy love. Gotta keep that in mind.
