No, for it is so easy for the police and judiciary system to find people guilty of crimes they may not have committed. You cannot appeal against injustice when you are dead. It is only when you see the attrocities committed in the name of justice in certain countries that capital punishment becomes really abhorrent in my eyes. However, I do believe that when a person commits murder or other very serious crimes of violence he or she should lose their human rights and life in prison should be harsh.
