All I want to do is write out a phrase in either Illustrator or Photoshop, and then save it as a jpg file.

I want to create a nice font, then color the "stroke" as black, the font as a different color, and then save the entire thing as a jpg so I can post it on a web page.

However, it seems that Illustrator can't save anything as a jpg file, and Photoshop has a real problem with coloring the stroke and fill of text.

Is there an easy way to do this, or is it being made intentionally difficult? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Even if you suggest using some other program!

Thanks!

:DDD!!!!
(On illustrator) You go to "file" than you click on "save for web" which is somewhere under "save as" depending on what version of illustrator you have, than you go to the drop list that usually says GIF and JPEG is under the GIF option! :D

OH YAH! and you can also go to "file" "export" and that lets you save as a JPEG and a whole lotta other ones :D

Well, here's one way, if you have Microsoft Word. Use the WordArt feature in Microsoft Word, then copy the image to the clipboard. Paste it into a blank photoshop document and save it as a Jpg.

Remember that whatever you do from starting from FILE
If you select New and create the size and add photo's or change backround, Always remember you need to go to FILE and SAVE AS this will allow you to select the FORMAT you want to change to.

Illustrator is for vector graphics, Photoshop is for bitmap graphics - so use Photoshop to do jpegs.
