i honestly see a lack of consistency. people from areas outside the US are forever flying in, no questions asked. but a "state" that is technically in the US is completely denied. most of those people simply want a better life. i honestly do not see a problem with that.

I think its not prejudice, just efficiency.
Lets say you are trying to guess a character out of a page of typed text. Lets add to that the knowledge that 75% of the characters are the letter a. If you guess without measuring that any letter you pick is a, then you will be right 75% of the time.
Are you being anti-letter-ist against the other letters, or are you just targeting the very common, very low-hanging fruit?
According to wikipedia (1) who is quoting the GAO, and the Pew hispanic center, hispanics constitute 90% of undocumented immigrants in the US.
To have a fair population based approach to illegal immigrants, the INS should target exactly 90% of its efforts toward hispanics.
To have an unfair bias toward hispanics, it would have to target more than 90% of its efforts toward hispanics.
To have an unfair bias against hispanics, it would have to target less than 90% of its efforts toward hispanics.
If this is about opinion, then you descend into arguing semantics. If this is about provable, testable, measurable truth then you can have a standard external of one persons idea about what something should mean. I recommend this debate be about provable testable measurable truth.

Who should we target, the MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of Hispanic (mostly Mexican) immigrants who are flooding in every month, or those twenty guys from Hungary?
Think of it this way, the U.S. is like the NFL team with the first round draft choice. We can pick anyone we want to make our team the best, and win the trophy.
However, instead of choosing scientists, engineers, architects, doctors, researchers, mathematicians, etc., we're literally closing our eyes and saying we don't need any star quarterbacks. Anyone at all can be on our team. That's no way to run a world class team, and certainly no way to run a country.
Do you really want the ethnic composition of our country to change so radically? Do you really want to wake up someday and find out that English is the MINORITY language in America? Do you realize we simply cannot assimilate such large number of people who, rather than leaving Mexico behind, want to bring it here?
Think of France. Their culture is being irreparably damaged by all the Muslims and people from their former colonies in Africa who refuse to join mainstream society. Already in France, there are 750 places the police force has literally abandoned from their patrol list. It is simply too dangerous. It is like a foreign enclave on their own soil.
If the ethnic composition of the U.S. is allowed to be artifically skewed towards Hispanic, everything will change. Most of those changes are not desirable, just look at the condition of places like Mexico and Guatemala. The same mindset that created those conditions is coming here. Too many of them arrogantly believe that the U.S. is "theirs", and they are practicing " la reconquista" (the re-conquest), literally by sheer numbers.
We have to stop it now.

The USA govenment has NEVER targeted hispanic immigrants. It's foolish and willful omitting of the truth that distance others from hispanic interest groups. The word is "illegal immigrants." You know this better than any other group, so don't play the dumb game idiot!

When they said they were going to send Illegal immigrants back home the streets were filled with Hispanics. The government didn't single any minority out. The Mexicans made a point of saying it was unfair and protesting drawing all the attention to them. I guess they know who the majority of the illegals are.

No opinions just facts
90% of illegal imagrants are hispanic.
of the other 10% most come in from Mexico (a hispanic country).
My answer is, that by allowing so many illegal immagrats from hispanic nations we are not exercising a double standard in tageting Hispanic immagrants we are exercising a double standard against all other ethnic groups.
Think of all the Canadians that want to come here but cant, because they obey the laws.

They are targeting illegals of all nationalities. It just so happens that most of the illegals are Hispanic. This is also the group who is calling the most attention to themselves with activist groups to attain the same rights as citizens.
If the U.S. really needs to import labor, the businesses who hire them need to go through the government to gain legal means so that these people are not taken advantage of and won't have to fear deportation. The blame for all of this has to be shared by people who come here without legal documents and the employers who do not require the legal documents to hire them.

An illegal immigrant has no rights. They are here illegally and should be treated as a common criminal. Deportation is the only answer.

No. They are enforcing LAW and trying to keep ORDER!!
There are hundreds of thousands of Legal Permanent Residents who waited their turn to come to the United States legally. It can be done.
KARLA you stated that it takes thousands of dollars to come here? These illegal Mexicans pay up to $2,500 to be smuggled into the US. How about all the criminals and baby rapers? You failed to mention them. The ones you stated "look weird" are probably the murderers and rapists. Sorry you little uneducated and brain washed girl, I am Hispanic, but my family was already living in central south Texas when the treaty of Guadalupe made us citizens. The river crossed us we DID NOT cross the river.

I am not quite sure what you are asking.
But, since the majority of illegal criminal aliens are hispanic in nature, they would be the bulk of those being deported when the time comes.

illegal mexicans are the majority that is destroying America and why should we not target them since they are breaking into our country and placing a burden on our medical, education, paying no taxes or very little taxes compared to the american taxpayer. they should all go home and make mexico better. Anglos who were the majority fought and died in wars to make America the success it has become and Mexican set on their duffs and created a cesspool in ole mececo.
