Do you believe that prayer can heal people physically?

And do you know of any examples? Not stuff you've heard of, things you've experienced yourself or seen yourself.

I believe in positive energy, positive thinking. No, I personally have never met anyone who has benefited from it, I have known a lot of people who were prayed for and still died.

God heals people when they pray to himand have faith that He will do it. I have been healed myself through prayer. The band I sing with also does intercessory prayer, and healing is one of the things we do. Also, a year and a half ago, there was a woman who is a board member at the place I used to work, she was shot in the face by her ex and the doctors were so certain she was going to die really soon, that the police held her ex without charging him, because they were waiting to be able to make it a murder charge. I went to rehersal that night, and we prayed for her for as a group. When we went home, we prayed individually. Everytime we got together, we prayed for this woman. A couple of days later, bestfriend told us that she had survived, but had a stroke and the doctors had revised their prognosis to say that she would live, but she would never wake up. We continued to pray together and individually, and two or three days later she woke up. The doctors then said, okay, she's conscious, but she'll always be a vegetable. The next day, they had to wire her jaw shut because she was trying to speak and it needed to heal, first. They brought in a dry erase tablet so that she could communicate. The doctors said she would be parylized, but three weeks after she was shot, she was sitting up on her own, three months later she started physical therapy and eight months after she had gotten shot, she was walking with a cane. Since then, she has moved into her own place, she takes care of herself and she's back in school. She testified against her ex and he's in jail. The local paper did an article on her earlier this year, and she said that her healing was a direct result of the prayers people had been saying for her all over the city, her doctors still don't know what happened. She also said that she forgives her ex. No one can tell me that her healing was not the result of the prayers of true believers and her own faith that it would come as well! Praise God!

Yes, I know from personal experience that prayer can help physical problems. When I was 11 I had some serious medical problems and was in the medical emergency center. My family prayed for me and I got a blessing that I would be healed, and soon within the next few hours I was healed from my physical problems. It was a miracle! The doctors barely believed what happened.

Yes. And yes, I do have several examples.

A lady at the church I attended as a teenager was diagnosed with a rare and fatal heart disease. The doctors gave her only months to live.

That was about twelve years ago (give or take a couple years, I wasn't a Christian at the time, so things are a bit..."hazy"), and she's still alive today.

The remarkable thing is that after a prayer meeting for this woman, she went to the doctor, and they said there was nothing wrong with her heart.

There are lots more, but that's one of the things that help me to remain a Christian today. I believe that God still works, the same way He did in the Bible.

I believe the God I pray to can heal physically and emotionally, Prayer is a communicating channel to be mixed with the faith that comes from God but God is the Object of my faith and my prayers.

If so, then that would be a poor reflection on god. Does he save only those who beg it of him? How come so many people who pray, still die.

To say that prayer heals is like saying that I am psychic because I was able to guess the number you were thinking after fifty tries.

Prayer also heals the physical state and maintains it as well. I have had more than one experience.

yes I do my sister was four when her appendex broke open inside of her the doctors let it sit in fester for 3 days. after surgery she had tubes coming out of her everywere than her appendex absesed. she wasn't expected to make it through the rest of the day it was 9 o clock sunday morning when her color started to come back you see my pastor decided to make that sunday a day of prayer to pray for my sister and the candy man is what we called him 9 o clock is the time church started if that isn't physical healing because of a prayer that God decided to anwer yes to I don't know what is.
