slow, constantly getting error boxes, freezing, program not responding, i've called at&t, norton, compaq and no one can help me, actually at&t who said to upgrade the anti-virus told me i'd have to call compaq. when i shut computer off, grey error box & doesn't stay on long enough for me to copy information down, another says do not shut down loading information, just all kinds of stuff i never got before downloading. my concern is everytime I do something that someone suggested it seems like it creates more problems, this has been going on for a month. my computer is a new one and not it's screwed up. i have a small box on the toolbar next to the date, has a AV, yellow circle with a red question mark in it and it' constantly flashing. the computer acts like it's always trying to download something. thank you

Get rid of it! Delete it! Go to Add/Remove programs, and delete, then in Windows Explorer. Download CCleaner,(free), and wipe it completely out. Then use other anti-spy/virus software. You need the security protection of course, but I would advise against this one. Email through Yahoo Answers if you want to get rid of it, and have trouble doing so.

antiviruses are constantly checking your computer and actions, so it will slow your computer down. some may be less imposing than others. it's just a case of finding a good one.

i'm currently using panda antivirus. you can return the software by appealing to customer service (some companies have a moneyback guarantee) and get a new software

Norton did not down load properly, you need to uninstall it then reinstall. also if you have other anti virus software on your computer either turn it off or uninstall it, you shouldn't have more then one anti virus program on your computer because they are not compatible and could cause your computer to do what yours is doing.

i would go to nortons site and use there uninstaller, and remove it. then reboot and if you've paid for nortons already, try to redownload it, you may have to prove you bought it however. or buy the disk in most places that sell computer stuff.
