I understand you to mean, that if your dog was attacked by a LARGER dog that was able pick your dog up in it's jaws, shake it, (possibly to death) and then run off it with it.
If this is what you were thinking and asking us about, then I fully understand your anxiety.
I don't think there would be anything you could do SO, what you need to do is PREVENT it from happening. I have a very frail, 16 year old Jack Russell and I have the worry that a large did will attack her and so when I take her out I always VISUALLY check the area for other dogs, i.e. FAST dogs, large dogs and especially dogs which the owners have little or no control of. If I see anything worrying, I walk my beautiful JRT elsewhere.
Carry a strong, long staff like stick which you can use to protect you and your pet with.
Now just in case anyone is laughing at this reply or taking the P---, an elderly neighbour of mine had a lovely old black LABRADOR who was grabbed by the neck and shaken. It was touch and go as to whether he would survive the attack, he did but he suffered permanent neck damage and died two weeks later. It happens..All you can do is be aware and support groups who try to educate the LOUSY dog OWNERS!

If you dog is attacked why would it be taken away? If your dog attacks and gets taken away that's adifferent matter. If you have a viscious dog then either keep it under control or never take it out. If it attacks then I'm sory but it will have to be put down. I am a dog lover but you have to be realistic.

This is a little sketchy as I don't really know the details.
If your dog was attacked and taken away by animal control for being in a dog fight you need to make contact with your local animal control. bring in your dogs shot records including vaccinations and especially proof of rabies as well as the spay/neuter certificate if altered.
More information would be very helpful in answering this question.

The law says you have the right to cor-tine your pet in your house for the 10 days. It just a money racket and the dog pound wants your $10 per day. Demand your dog stays in your home. Fight it. I just went through this. I hired a lawyer and took all there dumb asses to court. i learned fight fight fight it. don't let them get away with anything. I will never support our local dog pound again. They are just over paid lazy fools. Fight them on all of it.. Even if you have to hire a lawyer. Fight them..

Your dog won't get taken away if she get's attacked. If she attacks another person though she will probably have to be taken away and most likely put down.

If your dog is attacked by someone elses dog? I would imagine that you dog would go in to quarintine to make sure that he doesn't have rabis, but after that you should get your dog back, as it wasn't the one that was the aggressor.
