Yes, there are electrical plugs. Another suggestion I have is if you are going to need to be charging more than one thing, bring a power strip.

I just took an Amtrak train from Milwaukee, WI to Chicago, IL last night and there were outlets at every seat. I don't know how long your ride is, but there should be some there!! I also wasn't in a cabin, I was just riding coach like everyone else. :)

yes Amtrak makes this accommpodation for lap tops, cell phones. you shuld be able to play the unit
