To an omnipotent God, evil wouldn't be evil, simply a means to an end. It seems to me that God isn't so much interested in individuals as s/he is in making sure a particular goal is met (whatever s/he deems that to be). If some catastrophic event should eventually lead to a new nation that will influence a series of events in a particular time period, why would that be evil? Why is death even considered "evil?" No one leaves here alive, plain and simple. At best, we may get to choose how we die, at worst, we get hit by a bus crossing a street. It always strikes me as funny how others seem to think God cares about them specifically. Why? Are you, as a single person, changing the world? Is working 9-5 making everyone else's lives better? Why does God care about your gout, your elderly grandmother, your dog? Everyone seems to believe that they are somehow special, when in reality, they sadly aren't. If you wish to see someone that may perhaps be led by the hand of God, look to world leaders. For good or ill, these people influence the entire planet. Look to global extinction and global warming. Look to people like Oppenheimer and Hawkings, not oneself. We are a pawns among worker ants.

The bible teaches God uses all things for the good, even the things the enemy wants to use for destruction in a believers life our God can turn it for our good.I know this word to be true even in some not so good things that have happened.A wonderful wise man of "God said to me a while ago God takes our misery and turns it into his ministry for others or ourselves. This is the power of a God that loves his creation isn't it.Shalom

To me, if God allows something it is the same as if He decrees it. It is going to happen. The bottom line is, as is said in Daniel 4:35 "But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can stay His hand Or say to Him, `What have You done?'

And plus, why would god have to make such awful things to happen for something good to happen?
Why can't he make something good lead to something else that is good?

If that's a way that helps them to understand their faith, I always figure, who am I to burst their bubble?
God never uses evil. Sometimes, though, evil acts on its own, then God turns that into a blessing. But God doesn't willfully choose to do evil to accomplish His goals. Of course He doesn't have to.

if that god punishes us. I say its evil that never forgives.
If this god is hurt by arhist, it dont deserve to be. Example; if you are driving a car, would you want to have a head on for somebody else's incompatence?

An omnipotent God wouldn't need to USE anything. If he does, it's because he likes it for it's own sake. So he likes evil. (If he existed he would, that is)
