I was commenting to another Christian that if I had a time machine, I'd like to wander back to that time, take a little time to learn the local language, and listen to the sermon on the mound and see other events from Jesus' life. My freind acted like I was speaking blasphemy, but didn't go into detail and changed the subject. How do you feel about that?

I'm having a rough time listening to Him now! But, I would love to have sat at His feet to listen to Him and to have seen the God-Man in person. But knowing that I will one day is so exciting.

I think there are a lot of people from the past who would be very interesting to listen to.

I'm an Atheist and while I don't believe Jesus was/is God....I do believe he was a holy man who had a good general philosophy.

Wasn't it "The Sermon on the Mount"? I am an atheist, but Jesus was a real person and I would love to do that.

I'd love to go back and speak to some of the historic sages and, yes Jesus would on my list, but not the first on my list. I'd probably go back to see Merdynn or possible the delphic oracles first.

I would use it to verify whether Jesus was real or not. If that test came out positive I would definitely want to hear him preach. Then I would take some time to inform him of the crimes committed in his name. It might be the last speech he ever gave.

That sounds like a wonderful idea! Can you imagine going back to that time with the knowledge that we have now?

This is exactly what the Catholic Mass is. We even stand beneath the very same cross of Christ and we are there when he is resurrected. The Mass IS THE BOOK OF REVELATION.
