I suggest sauteing the garlic and liver with Peanut Butter not Applesauce. What could you thinking of???

I make liver and onions all the time. I would recommend you just leave out the onions/applesauce/whatever and go with the liver, a veggie, and either a roll or potato. If you want something ON the liver, make a gravy but don't use the applesauce.

Applesauce and pork go well together, and I've had stewed apples with chicken. As for liver, it doesn't sound like it would work, but you'll never know until you try it. It might be something new and interesting, especially if the liver is nice and pink inside (very tender).

Put it on the side. Don't cook with the liver, it willcome out bitter. If you like heat it up in the micro.

i would just leave the onions out and not subsitute anything.. i dont think liver and cinniomon would be very tastey (not that liver is tasty to me anyway)

make it a spread and you shall have a good yummy sandwitch...nice in the morning but kiss first your partner before you eat the sandwitch....an apple juice would be better than a coffee..no cinnamon pls.
