This is a really interesting question because the whole idea of God is that man's fragile mind needs to have an all powerful creation. Yet, we insist that God has always been and was never created. Crazy.

The bible says that God was there, is there, and shall be there...or in the book of
John 1:1 it says
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Well, the question is, if He was there in the beginning, then who created him?
Many years ago, humans in continents thought they were the only ones who existed, later, they discovered other continents. If there were another planet far away in this same universe(evidence exists that there could be one), then why don't humans think of other possibilities of who God could be?
Could cartoons and characters in video games be asking themselves that questions, because they think humans are superior enough to create them?
What if that was the same case with us and God? Could He be a selfish race of extraterrestrials who wanted superiority over somebody so they used earth to form another inferior race?

Mankind created God. There needed to be a way to explain us & the world. Something or someone must have created us so that's where God came in.

God is Spirit, God is love, God said I Am That I Am. He is the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega. In the beginning was God, and the word was with God. At His command He said "Let there be light, and there was light."
And so on thru the six days of creation. On the seventh day, God rested. At each day He looked at it all and said, "It is good." And I agree.

Depends on your perspective. If you don't believe He is real, then some ancient culture long ago created Him. If you believe in the God that Christans do, then no one did, He is infinite,(always has been and always will be) I'm not sure about other religions so much. Sorry.

good question.
I was raised christian and this question didnt settle with me so needless to say. Im now agnostic. I think that the dude that answered first is very right. he was just created to make us feel better.
how do we know that there is a god? nobody knows for sure. I sure as hell dont see any scientific proof that he exists so I dont believe it.
but hey every one has their own beliefs right?

really depends which god you are talking about and whether you believe there are many or just many faces of the same one. An atheist by the way cannot answer this question except to be facetious.

clever people created god. clever, lying people who wanted a whole bunch of stupid people to follow by their every word.
they created god because people are so insecure about not knowing things, that they must have some explanation to fill in the blanks for all the mysteries in the world.
god, the perfect blank filler
