I have a cat that's in need of a humane shelter for 2 months cuz I need to move into my friend's house.
I can take it back afterwards.
Does anyone know where I should go?
It doesn't matter if I need to pay money.
However, please list the amount if possible.
Thank you.

i don't think most shelters will take a cat in and let you have it back after a couple of months. sorry.

Most shelters take formal possession of an animal when they take it in, they don't generally warehouse animals for someone. What you could do is turn the cat in to a no kill shelter, and then in 2 months, go back and if it is still there, adopt it.

your not looking for a shelter, your looking for a boarding home for animals. What area are you in?
The cheapest way to go is put an ad on craigs list asking someone to "pet sit" in their home for a certain amout. say $20 a week sounds fair.

If you have the means to pay for bording, look in the phone book and see what places are available. They will probably charge you like $10-$15 dollars a day for board and food.

You can find boarding shelters for animals by looking in the yellow pages and they can give you their rates. Also check on the internet for boarding shelters in your area.

You might consider a kennel but where you live depends on where a shelter is. You can check with the police department or look online and do a search. Thanks.

Try Petsmart-they have a dog and cat hotel. I would go to yellowpages.com and look up cat or dog hotels in your area. They probably get treated better there.

you cant do that, you cant temporarily take it to a shelter, you can find a person that will babysit for a while, post ads or go on craigslist and look for people
