Most of the winter Catholic marriages I know of take place in January, is this because Catholics can't get married in Advent?

The Advent season is particularly busy, so it might not be possible for some couples to find an available church and priest during that season on the day they wish to get married.

Also, I don't know very many couples who want their anniversary "lost" during the busy time between Thanksgiving and New Year's.

All this to say, I can find no reference that says it is not allowed.

I'm getting married in December and the church is about as orthodox as they come, so I dont think there is a problem with it.
