any chat can be dangerous...anymore, regardless of how you meet someone you should exercise caution and always let people know where you're going and who you're going with.
as for what dating sites are good and which ones arent'...it really depends on what you're looking for.
i've tried yahoo personals, match.com and eharmony. i have not had any real success with any of them because they don't screen for the things that i deem are most important...nor for the situation that i'm in. and because of those two things, i always get matched w/ people who really aren't a match. i have not found a site that works for me.
you really just need to try a few and see what works for you and what you want in a relationship.
