Riders and sports doctors report that "effective" use of EPO can result in a 20% gain in aerobic ability. Yes you heard right! That's a tremendous gain in a sport that is often won and lost by mere seconds.

Enough of a difference that they all seem to have used it. But with the way they're cracking down on cheaters, using epo will make your performance go away for a couple years and ruin your career.

A significant gain, that is until you end up taking too much and either shred your heart valves or stroke out. Don't mess with it unless you really know what your doing. Dutch and Belgian cyclists were dropping like flies in the late 80's and early 90's from having too high of a hematocrit level.
