These people with signs reading bad things about Jehovah's Witnesses, why don't these people just go on with their lifes, they stand there all day, its pretty scary and goes to show that maybe Satan is trying everything to destroy God's organization.

Everyone else pretty much hates Jehovah's Witnesses but the people that actually go and stand outside with signs thats scary.

Im not a JW but makes you think why they are so hated, there are thousands of websites against them and people just can't stand them.

And Jehovah's witnesses are the only ones that preach door to door. Each individual JW actually participates in spreading God's word.

It's fascinating to meditate on the fact that few persons at the time knew the prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures better than the Sadducees and Pharisees, especially related to the Messiah. Yet, they apparently were unable to help themselves from working to fulfill many of those prophecies and thus prove that Jesus was indeed the Christ, the Messiah.

Were Christ's enemies motivated by self-importance? Yes.
...(John 11:47-48) Consequently the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Sanhedrin together and began to say: “What are we to do, because this man performs many signs? If we let him alone this way, they will all put faith in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

Were Christ's enemies motivated by some unseen force of evil? Yes.
...(John 8:42-44) Jesus said to them: “...Why is it you do not know what I am speaking? Because you cannot listen to my word. You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father.

Yet, the bible makes it clear that at least some of those Jewish persecutors of Christ and Christianity actually had pure motives, misguided because they needed to learn the truth (see 1 Timothy 1:12-14). Jehovah's Witnesses hope that the enemies of God and Christ are merely misguided, and hope that these enemies recognize that true Christianity is about "good news" rather than arguments and attacks, or bitterness and venom.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.

Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Why are Jehovah’s Witnesses persecuted and spoken against?

Jesus said: “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.” (John 15:18, 19; see also 1 Peter 4:3, 4.) The Bible shows that the whole world lies under Satan’s control; he is the principal instigator of the persecution.—1 John 5:19; Rev. 12:17.

Jesus also told his disciples: “You will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name.” (Mark 13:13) The word “name” here means what Jesus officially is, the Messianic King. Persecution comes because Jehovah’s Witnesses put his commands ahead of those of any earthly ruler.

maybe because they feel strongly about their message.
maybe they miss their family who has been told to not associate with them because they're no longer Jehovah's Witnesses? Maybe they want others to know the flipside of being a JW? Maybe they have nothing else to do that afternoon and it's a nice day outside?

just guessing here.

I have never seen this happen.. but as a JW I would seriously ask this questions .. why does everyone who leaves our orginizationbtry to convince us that we are wrong .. Maybe ( i'm just throwing this out there ) Maybe they have discovered that what they were taught by the WT&TS was wrong..

The WT&TS has a great line to make sure there followers dont spend any time thinking about this .. " SATAN is trying to distroy gods org '

Probably because some disgruntled people have nothing better to do with their lives.

It really doesn't matter. Jehovah protects His people, and His organization continues to grow, despite what opposers do.

Such opposers merely show whose side they are on, and it is not the side of truth. Protesting does not change the truth.

For all those who "hate" Jehovah's Witnesses, and for all those propaganda websites "against" them, there are millions of sincere people who are open-minded about them, and many websites that set the record straight.

You would not expect Judas Iscariot to say a kind word about the Lord Jesus, neither should anyone expect biased people or Noisy, Jabbering Goats to say anything kind about Jehovah's Witnesses.

But as the Bible says, "God knows those who belong to Him."

The efforts of opposers and apostates are futile. They can't fool God.

Unfortunately, many religions must deal with disgruntled former members or people who are just generally bigoted. Search for anti-Catholic, anti-Mormon, anti-Jewish, etc. propoganda and see how many sites pop up. As a Jew, the least of my problems is someone who thinks my religion is bad--some people think Jews are intrinsically evil and should be killed.

Also, I think that most people are neutral regarding JWs.

Mormons also go from door to door, and Mormon men (and some women) dedicate a year of their lives to doing that and only that. I'm sure there are other smaller groups as well. JWs have the most famous program, and are the only group I'm aware of that sends all of their members from door to door.

Well, I've never seen such a thing, but I guess people will hate just about anyone no matter if they are JW or not. People will say Oh, I hate them because they are JW, when in fact they just hate people, period. Or maybe they're hated because they know JWs are right, don't you just hate being told something that you know is true, but won't admit? I don't know, but I do know that people hate other people for many reasons. It's a world full of hate.

I have seen this at conventions. I went to the Cow Palace in San Francisco for years and sometimes there would be some who most likely had been disfellowshipped for homosexuality, because their signs said something about being gay.

We just walk right past them and ignore them. Being at your Kingdom Hall would be more awkward. Nobody likes to be around hate mongers.

Just remember what Jesus said at Luke 6:22 "Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son on man."

John 14: 18-19 "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what was it's own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you."

John 17: 14 "I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are on part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."

Matt 5: 44 "Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persecuting you, that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, since he makes the sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous."

I really don't know what these people think they are accomplishing. All they do is make themselves look very unchristian.

We go door to door not to convert people, but to shared the good news of the kingdom that Jesus commanded would be preached until the end comes. So until the end comes, we will continue to go door to door or wherever the people are. Matt 24: 14 "This good news of the kingdom will be preached to all the inhabtied earth, for a witness to all nations, and then the end will come."

We follow the preaching examples of Jesus and the Apostles,
Matt 10: 11-14 "Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until you leave. When you are entering into the house, greet the household; and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it, but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of the house or the city shake the dust off your feet."

Acts 5: 42 "And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus."

Acts 20: 20 "while I did not hold back from telling you any of the things that were profitable nor fromteaching you publicly and from house to house."

Cathy: The Mormons go to a different state to go door to door and the only reason why they do it is to earn tution to go to Brigham Young college. We do it every day and every year.....not to earn money for school at all or go to a different state either. But the Brothers and Sisters do go to Bethel and maybe to a different state or country to help out in the preaching work that is most needed there.

I agree with Joslin and Sweet Pea and the rest of the Sisters(Who are true Witnesses)....those people that are standing outside the Hall with signs are Apostates and the ones that are on here Unsilenced Lamb(if she even answers your question), Nina, Steinbec are Apostates, period:

But they don't do that at our Kingdom Hall or any other Hall at all and we've never seen them stand there and there never has been anybody like that ever.

Reasoning from the Scriptures published by Jehovah's Witnesses

Reasoning from the Scriptures

Apostasy
How serious is Apostasy?

2 Peter 2:1: "However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves."

Would faithful Christians welcome apostates into their presence, either personally or by reading their literature?

2 John 9, 10: "Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God....If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him."

Rom. 16:17, 18: "Now I exhort YOU, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that YOU have learned, and avoid them. For men of that sort are slaves, not of our Lord Christ, but of their own bellies; and by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones."

I've seen that on youtube. It's a cerain apostate. If the JWs were wrong, they would not be growing and building new Kingdom Halls. Those apostates are going to church in storefronts. It's too late in the game to be starting anew. Steinbeck could not have been a good witness considering what she believes now.

Freedom of speech! I have met a few JW and I may not agree with their beliefs but I don't believe that it is right to stand outside where someone worships and say bad things about them. They are just people like you and me. I may not agree with an Athiest but I am not going to go stand outside their house and say terrible things about him just because they dont believe the way I do. People are stupid! plain and simple!
