The simple answer is "no." PS2 hardware doesn't support the newer PS3 software. They are backward-compatible though, and you can play most PS2 games on a PS3, just not the other way around.

not to call you stupid but that really is a dumb question ps2 cant handle ps3 games for one its a total different format
2 what would be the point of making a ps3 if the ps2 could do all of what the ps3 could do and more
