Do you believe there will ever come a time when the people are actually happy with the United States Government regardless of what political party holds the White House? Where good honest men and women are in a position of authority. If not, why? What do you believe are neccessary steps that must be taken to get there, and what on earth can we do as citizens to help this all happen. I am not asking you to attack any political party but how we can work together to become a united nation once again.

No. Because we are becoming a nation of seventh graders masquerading as adults. Less than half of eligible voters are registered to vote. Only on in five adults has ever read the Constitution, our charter of government. Those who do vote in partisan primaries designed to select the candidates of their party treat the whole business like a beauty pageant or a power-suit version of "American Idol".
Since the Spring of 1933 we have been carefully conditioned, like Pavlov's dogs, to view the President as some sort of "Federal Wizard King", rather than the official bound under oath to carry out the duties prescribed in Article Two of the Constitution. Most do not know the name of their Member of Congress but berate the actions of that body nonetheless. Our nation is awash with clergy and teachers of ethics, yet we seem to need "ethics commissions" to advise elected officials on what is right and what is wrong, because their focus is restricted to what is legal and what is illegal.
Given all that, there is no cure. As Pogo said: "We have met the enemy and they is us".

After the revolution, if it gets that bad. Honestly, it would be nice to see some neighborly actions. All this stuff with parties disgusts me. However, without controversies, there's no such thing as freedom. The United States has just entered into doing a very controveral thing: policing/helping the world. America should go back to itself again as important.

I don't believe the government will ever be what we want it to be because the corruption is getting worse. Our rights are being taken away every day by the government. I don't think we can do anything anymore because it does say in the bible that we will be in war after war and I believe that is where we are headed. So, unfortunately, the American people will continue to elect a person that is ultimately going to lead us to destruction.

No there will never be a time when people are happy with the government, plus if there wasn't a problem America would be boring. To tell you the truth humans can't live without conflict, it would be a boring life if it did.

AS LONG AS WE HAVE POLITICIANS, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE QUARRELS.

GET RID OF THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM AND ALL WORK FOR A COMMON GOAL THE CITIZENS. NOT THE POLITICIAN, THE POLITICAL PARTY, KICK BACKS, PAC INTERESTS, OLD FRIENDS WHO CONTRIBUTED ETC. AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE RICH RUNNING THE SHOW, WHAT DO THEY CARE ABOUT YOU AND ME?

RUN ON A LIBERAL PARTY TICKET OR COMMON CAUSE GROUP.

AS LONG AS THERE IS MONEY THERE IS POWER AND POWER IS MONEY.

I HAVE ASKED THE AME OF MY GENERATION 60'S AND WE STILL ARE PLUGGING ALONG. WE DID SOME CHANGES. CANNOT BE SHOT FOR SPEAKING OUT AGAINST THE PARTY OR PRESIDENT.

We have to wake up to our responsibility as citizens first. we have given over our power as citizens over to others for a comfortable entertaining life without question. It may be to late for the people wake up and act. To many lies have become the truth sadly. I know not what is to come but misery.
