if you dial *67 first and then dial the # you are trying to reach then that # can not identify yours.

Yes, most calls even if they are blocked with *67 can still be tracked if the person being called dials *57 and activates the call tracing service. They have to hang up from the call and wait a couple of seconds, then dial the *57. They then hear a recording saying the trace was successful (or not successful). That information is sent to the phone company. Then you have to call the authorities in order to file a report.

can the federal government do anything it wants .....ummmm yes plus... if your making harassment calls they can get a judge to issue an order to track all in-coming calls and you will wind up in a federal prison for violations of the telecommunications laws.

Not an average person, no they can't.

The phone service provider can however do and the government can subpoena the provider to get the info if required.

Yes. Phone companies do it everyday. I was addicted to prank calling and it became more touble than it was worth. *67 doesn't stop anything.
