I have about 40 of my photos that I'm putting in order for a slide show on an erotic (not porn) photo blog. I need advice from graphic design oriented people: how should I organize the photos. Here are some options:

Keeping themes together or alternating themes like a) fine art nudes, b) photoshopped fantasy images c) abstract images

By spatial format: alternate landscape and portrait formats.

By focus of image: portraiture focused or focus on the body.

By color: monochromatic images vs. multi-colored ones

Or any other organization? If you think you'd have to see the photos, I could direct you to the site. The idea is to offer some contrast between images so as not to create a monotonous appearance or experience.

As with any photography, you should consider the priority of your customers/viewers. Put the most dynamic images up front and last, leaving those with the least impact in the middle.

Most viewers won't have a theme in mind when they view your images, but they will have an idea of what they want to see. As stated earlier, the better you know the people you serve, the better response you will get.

It will be a crap-shoot at first and will depend upon your perceptions, but as time goes on, you can track your hits and fine tune the images that get enlarged views from those that don't. Use those with high hit count to introduce your photography.
