Modern HR departments love to give these tricky questions. They are hoping it will give some special insight into the person's personality or character.
Reminds me of a guy who went for an interview, and was given a sheet of paper with one question: In 5000 words or less, tell me what is courage.
He wrote two words, and left the room.
The interviewer was shocked. Usually the people wrote furiously and used every second of the time allotted.
In response to the question, "What is courage?", he had merely written "THIS is".
He got the job.
