I eat a lot of Rennies. I wonder whether my body has got lazy and doesn't bother regulating my stomach acidity because I do.

No, Rennie's will work at low level every time. |The fact that you are having frequent symptoms suggests that you need some investigation. The most important thing is to get your GP to test you for Helicobacter pylorii, the ulcer bug. It is the most common cause of recurrent dyspepsia and is curable. The other common cause is GORD, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. Rennie's are not really powerful enough to deal with this effectively. You generally need doses of PPI, protein pump inhibitor, that are prescription only.

However, there are times when we have caused such damage to our system that the simple solutions no longer work as the problem is larger than what we know. These remedies may have seemed to stop working because you need something stronger or to see a doctor about getting the problem resolved at the root so to speak.

Antacids such as Tums only provide temporary relief and do not solve the problem of acid. You will need to get a prescription to solve it like Nexium or the over the counter Prilosec. But you should always consult your doctor as these acidity problems can be more than you can feel.

If you need rennies all the time you need to take a trip to the DR's to see whats wrong you may have an illness you should get it checked out

yes i am dependant on lansaprozole or aka zoton, as i need them as i have reflux
